Virginia Medical Training Academy cancelled my class. What will happen now?
In the rare event that the academy has to cancel a class, you will be notified immediately. You will be offered a seat in the next available class (or future class). If that will not work for your schedule, we will issue you a refund of your deposit/tuition.

The cost of the class includes the textbook (with online access), as well as CPR certification (if needed). The textbook used for class is AAOS Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick and Injured (12th Edition). The first attempt at NREMT examination is also included.

All classes will be held at our academy in Ashland, VA. The address is 11126 Air Park Road, Suite D. It is located right off Interstate 95 and easily accessible to food, gas and hotels.

No. Our course fully prepares you to sit for and pass the NREMT certification exam and any other state/licensing requirements. Once these requirements are completed, you will be able to practice as an emergency medical technician (EMT). Please call with questions regarding the specific requirements of the state you are in.

Students must be at least 18 years old or 16 years old with a parent’s permission by the first day of class. Students must also hold a current CPR certification.

Our accelerated classes take 3 weeks to complete and class is held Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, while our weekend only classes take approximately 8 weeks to complete and are only held on Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 5pm. Please note that we are closed on all major holidays.
